I'm sick...again

I was sick two weeks ago, and now I'm sick again. That's one thing I definitely miss about being in the real world, I didn't seem to get sick as often. Going back to college and being in a 1st grade classroom quite frequently is killing my immune system. 3 kids in my class have already gotten swine flu. bleck. Time for some hot apple cider....

The Perfect Mix.

2 Martha Stewarts...

So Jen and I have decided we'd like to basically be Martha Stewart. Both of us...at once. :) We started doing a friday night baking extravaganza. It's delightful too! We're in our 4th week (I think...). We started with Pumpkin bread, it's a delicious fall favorite.  Here is the recipe we used, it was from Allrecipes.com. However, we altered it a bit. Here's our version on the left. 

 I made a mock up for my cookbook.We also made pumpkin spice cupcakes...I'll link the recipe since I haven't created the mock up yet. Anyway, getting back to last nights baking evening. We decided to take on something a bit more difficult. Jen suggested a Pumpkin Cake Roll with a cream cheese filling. After scrupulously searching allrecipes.com...we found the perfect recipe. And it turned out just devine except for the slight crack on top. We were supposed to roll it up after pulling it out of the baking sheet and it was being uncooperative. But it still tasted delish.

SO good! With all this baking theres a half way decent chance that we'd become fatties from all this lovely food. But, as Nathan (the boyfriend) says, "It's a good thing you're working out."
